This painting was the first one I did in my ‘currency’ series and one of very few oil paintings that I did on canvas. I now paint oils on wood. I have started painting the ‘currency’ series again but am now doing them mostly in watercolors. I am fascinated with old bills. They are each pieces of art. The person who bought this painting is putting it on the market after owning it for 13 years.
